Diagnostics of Covid-19 using RT-LAMP method<\/h2><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text css_animation=”bottom-to-top”]<\/p>\n

DIAGNOSTICS OF COVID-19 USING A NEWLY DEVELOPED TEST – AUMED test RT-LAMP Assay SARS-CoV-2<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text css_animation=”bottom-to-top”]AUMED a.s. is involved in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. In cooperation with Protean s.r.o.<\/a><\/em> and Institute of Molecular and Translational Medicine, AUMED a.s. launched a modern diagnostics of SARS-CoV-2 virus under the name AUMED test RT-LAMP Assay SARS-CoV-2<\/strong>. It is a diagnostic using the RT \u2013 LAMP Assay method. The test uses the so-called LAMP reaction, which is isothermal amplification of nucleic acids. Unlike the polymerase chain reaction (PCR, qPCR), in which the reaction is performed using temperature cycles, isothermal amplification is performed at a constant temperature so there is no require for any expensive equipment. WHY LAMP REACTION?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text css_animation=”bottom-to-top”]Molecular amplification technique RT-LAMP (Reverse transcription \u2013 Loop mediated isothermal amplification) allows the amplification of nucleic acids with high specificity, efficiency and speed under isothermal conditions \u2013 i.e. at a constant temperature, achievable in incubators, hybridization ovens or dryers.<\/p>\n

Main advantages of AUMED test RT \u2013 LAMP Assay SARS-CoV-2<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0No need for expensive laboratory equipment<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>can be performed in any laboratory, no PCR \u00a0 cycler \u00a0 required.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0 Results are available\u00a0within one hour\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 the possibility of reading with the naked eye.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0 Ideal solution for airport terminals, large companies, border crossings, homes for the elderly\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0 The use of natural amplification \u00a0 enzymes guarantees high reliability \u00a0 of the test results, so that even if \u00a0 the incubation time is accidentally \u00a0 exceeded, false positive results do \u00a0 not occur. Competitive LAMP \u00a0 assays that use genetically \u00a0 engineered enzymes with higher \u00a0 processivity suffer from this \u00a0 problem. DIAGNOSTIC KIT<\/strong><\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text css_animation=”bottom-to-top”]The kit is fully validated\u00a0<\/strong>and registered by the State Institute for Drug Control (S\u00daKL) under registration number 00912050<\/a> (issued by SIDC-CZ). Instructions and a valid declaration of conformity can be downloaded from the appendix of this registration.\u00a0\u00a0It is a completely Czech product without dependence on foreign suppliers.<\/p>\n

The kit is intended for diagnosis of the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus in isolated viral RNA samples \u2013 for 45 samples.\u00a0<\/strong>The diagnostic kit involves the detection of SARS-CoV2 virus and the detection of an internal control (IC) to check the correct collection and processing of the sample.<\/p>\n

The functional evaluation was successfully performed by the Institute of Molecular and Translational Medicine in Olomouc. Comparison of the kit with the reference RT-PCR assay determined the sensitivity of the assay to be 93% and specificity to 99%.\u00a0The kit passed all tested parameters and was recommended for use.<\/strong><\/p>\n
